Randy Weston and Judah Band are preparing to head to Lynchburg, VA to record a new live project. The recording will take place at The Ramp Church International on Friday, June 11, 2021 with special guests VaShawn Mitchell, Rich Tolbert Jr., Tasha Page-Lockhart, Bishop S.Y. Younger and Me’Kayla DeSiree. This year marks the 14th year anniversary for the Indianapolis-bred Judah Band whose new project is expected to be a blend of a variety of genres including Gospel, Pop, Rock and Classical. Lamar Campbell Headlining Impact 2021 in Memphis
Lamar Campbell will be headlining Impact 2021 in Memphis, TN as their special musical guest June 8th-11th at the New Dimensions Ministries. Lamar who started his career with Spirit of Praise in 1995, released nine albums with the group on a variety of labels. The four-day long conference will be hosted by Bishop Adrian R. Rodgers the Presiding Bishop of Impact Fellowship International and will include featured guest speakers Bishop Liston Page II, Pastor Michael Hickmon and Bishop Connie Wright.
Hillsong Atlanta Launches with First-Ever African American Lead Pastor
Pastor Sam Collier has made history as the first-ever African American Lead Pastor of the newly formed Hillsong Atlanta. The church has already hosted two pre-launch worship events featuring artists like Lecrae, Natalie Grant, Todd Galberth, Andy Mineo and others that attracted 2,200 in-person attendees and more than 30,000 people online. The official launch of Hillsong Atlanta will be June 6th at the Atlanta Events Center. “I’m excited to see what a Church like ours could become in a city like Atlanta”, says Lead Pastor Sam Collier. Lead Pastor Collier and his wife co-Lead Pastor Toni Collier will be partnering with Facebook and the online website Lightworkers to revolutionize the traditional church model to create a robust online church.
Koryn Hawthorne to Open Business in Louisiana Hometown
Award-winning gospel artist Koryn Hawthorne will now be adding business owner to her growing list of credentials. She’s preparing to open her restaurant Peach Cobbler Factory later this month in her hometown of Abbeville, LA. The pastry shop will of course feature her signature peach cobbler but also a wider variety of sweet treats including cinnamon rolls and ice cream. Koryn who also continue to reign supreme in the gospel music is a nominee for Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year for the 36th Annual Stellar Awards.
Todd Dulaney Hosting Album Release Concert in Chicago
Todd Dulaney and the DulaneyLand Band will be celebrating his album release with a live concert at the Freedom Hillside Church in Hillside, IL on June 11th. Todd who is a Chicago native, was formerly drafted by the New York Mets baseball team at age 18 but later left the league to pursue a full-time career in gospel music. “Anthems & Glory“ is a continuation of biblical inspired songs that Todd has been sharing over the past year during the pandemic. He has taken words directly from the scriptures to create songs that minister to a worldwide audience. The current radio single from the project is titled “Revelation 4” and focuses both on the power and greatness of God. Tickets for this in-person concert event are available on Eventbrite.
