Luther Wardlaw Of The Wardlaw Brothers Makes Debut for Acting and Solo Career

Luther Wardlaw one-fifth of the contemporary gospel group The Wardlaw Brothers (TWB5)  announced his plans to debut as a solo artist. His single “On the Way,” is being prepared for release. Luther is also featured in the movie “The Perfect Mate” currently streaming on UrbanFlixTV.  Luther who is a songwriter and producer for TWB5, wrote and arranged several of the songs showcased both in the film and on the movie’s soundtrack.  The Wardlaw Brothers (TWB5) will return to recording and Luther Wardlaw will continue with his siblings as a member of their group.

Women Commanding the Airwaves Virtual Conference

Apostle Veryl Howard is set to host a virtual concert featuring a collective of a dozen female radio announcers from around the global who will discuss the business of what it takes to bring songs to gospel radio.  The “Women Commanding the Airwaves Virtual Conference” will be held on Friday, March 19th at 8:00 PM EST and will feature Brea Miles who is the youngest of the panelists, Annette B from the UK, prophetess Bridgett Price, Patrice Smith, Rodrina Penn-Phillips aka Lady Drina, Meta Washington, Liz Black, Cheryl Jackson, Sheilah Belle aka “The Belle”, Tracy Morgan, Dr. Sctonda Kelly Gordon and Alicia Middleton. CeCe Winans Hosts Virtual Album Release Party

CeCe Winans recorded her first ever live album “Believe For It” and hosted a virtual album release party to celebrate. The virtual release party on March 11, 2021 featured special guests David and Nicole Binion, Fred Hammond and Jenn Johnson of Bethel Music.  Long with the discussion of the songs and guest interviews there was also a sneak peek of the mini-documentary “The Making of Believe For It.” The official release date for “Believe For It” is March 12thand is available on all digital music platforms.

Earnest Pugh hosts “Cooking with Earnest Pugh” YouTube Channel

Gospel artist and worship leader Dr. Earnest Pugh known for his amazing five octave voice is serving up some new treats on YouTube. Earnest hosts his own cooking channel  called “Cooking with Earnest Pugh.”  Earnest who was raised in Memphis, TN, was a young southern boy inspired by mother. The family consisted of 10 girls and 2 boys. “She empowered us to survive while she was out working 2-3 jobs to support us” said Pugh.

Aside from tasty recipes, the Emmy award winning artist is also prepping his fans for something musically delightful as well.  Earnest will be performing live in Rochester, NY for “A Night of Outpour” on Friday, April 2, 2021. The event will feature a live recording and videotaping that will be held at the Miracle Valley Deliverance City where they will adhere to the CDC guidelines that include measures for mask wearing and social distancing. Dorothy Norwood of the Legendary Caravans Honored by the city of Alpharetta, GA

Dorothy Norwood member of the legendary group The Caravans and longtime Alpharetta resident was recently honored by the Alpharetta City Council with a proclamation that heralded her career. Norwood who is now 85 started her career as a child. By the 1950s she was performing with the late Mahalia Jackson. Norwood is currently writing an autobiography and working on a new album titled “The Journey Continues.” Known to her fans as “The Gospel Storyteller,” she is widely known for such songs as “Somebody Prayed for Me,” “Shake Off the Devil” and “Victory is Mine,” which was featured in the 2011 film “The Help.” Between the years 1980 and 2006 Dorothy Norwood has been nominated for nine Grammys.
